NEW IN THE COLLECTION – HEMAN CHONG’S „BOOK“ SERIES

Heman Chong is one of Singapore’s most significant contemporary artists – who also works curator and writer. His practice investigates everyday behaviors and infrastructure to reveal how social constructs and power structures are woven into daily life. Heman Chong is represented in many leading institutional collections and represented Singapore at the 50th Venice Biennale.

The book series is iconic for Heman’s work and widely recognized. I am fortunate that I could personally get to know Heman and we have enjoyed inspiring and fun conversations in Singapore. In recognition of a charitable donation we received from Heman this personal book painting featuring one of my favorite books: John Le Carre’s „The Spy Who Came In From The Cold“.
