M+ HONG KONG – LEE BUL RETROSPECTIVE

Lee Bul has been a special artist for me ever since I saw the first works of her „Perdu“ series, and then the large-scale watch towers from the Korean peninsula DMZ. As patron of the M+ museum we hardly miss a show and enjoy this unique landmark for contemporary art especially from Asia. In that spirit we visited „Lee Bul: From 1998 to Now“ several times. It is a landmark retrospective featuring over 200 works by South Korea’s most influential contemporary artist. It is just inspiring to see the breadth of work across themes like utopia, technology, Korean politics, and our human body as well as the famous cyborg sculptures.
